Vote for the Offensive High School Soccer Player of the Week


Ashland High’s Andrew Meleski was voted High School’s Attacking Football Player of the Week.

The senior, who received over 1,500 votes, ran for 158 yards and a touchdown in a win over Concord-Carlisle.

And this week’s contestants are …

Caiden Montas + Jake Reissfelder, Blue Hills: The Warriors extended their winning streak to 10 games as Montas and Reissfelder both rushed for 2 touchdowns in a 28-22 win over Southeastern. Montas had touchdown runs from 39 and 40 yards while Reissfelder’s scores came from 1 and 9 yards. Montas only needed 12 carries to total 144 yards.

Will LeClair, Sr., Archbishop Williams: LeClair was 10 of 13 passes for 244 yards with four touchdowns as his Bishops beat Arlington Catholic, 38-14.

Owen Masterson, Sr., Marshfield: The QB completed 17 of 28 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams beat BC High, 35-0. He also ran for a TD.

Michael Landolfi, Jr., Hanover: Landolfi threw five touchdowns and ran for another in just three quarters as his Hawks took a 47-13 victory over Dighton-Rehoboth.

Dallas Murphy, Sr., Plymouth North: Murphy ran for two scores and pitched for two more as the Blue Eagles beat Pembroke, 28-14.

Ruben Charles, Jr., Quincy: Charles had two touchdown receptions, including one from 99 yards, as the Presidents wiped out a fourth deficit of 27-12 to defeat Westwood, 41-27.

Jacob Coulstring, Jr., Rockland: Coulstring ran for 212 yards and three touchdowns in a 23-7 win over Whitman-Hanson.

Henry Gates, Sr., Scituate: Gates threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns as the Sailors passed Malden Catholic, 35-0.

Ashton Gabler, Sr., Tech Rive-Sud: Gabler ran for 162 yards and scored two touchdowns as his Vikings beat Upper Cape, 22-6.

Zach Gabriel, Jr. South Newton: Gabriel ran for 145 yards and three touchdowns in 15 carries as the Lions beat Waltham 38-31.

Jared Arone, father, Franklin: This senior quarterback went 15 for 20 for 162 yards and three touchdowns in the Panthers’ comeback win over Duxbury.

Cole Hostage, Sr., Algonquin: This senior QB was 7 for 9 passing for 128 yards and three touchdowns while adding 28 rushing yards and another score in a convincing 47-0 win over Groton-Dunstable.

Andrew Meleski, Sr., Ashland: The senior running back didn’t disappoint by wearing the crown of reigning offensive player of the week as Meleski rushed 25 times for 233 yards and one score in a win over Wayland.

Max Poirier, Soph., Wellesley: The sophomore rusher racked up 155 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a win over Walpole.

Calvin Polchlopek, Sr., Bellingham: This senior wide receiver had five assists for 128 yards and two scores in a big Tri-Valley League victory over Medfield.

Danny Sullivan, Jr., Dover-Sherborn: This junior signalman had three touchdowns in the Raiders shutout win over Sharon.
