South Carolina continued to add to its 2022 football recruiting class with another pair of defenders announcing their intention to join the Gamecocks.
Safety Emory Floyd and defensive lineman Felix Hixon increase USC’s total to 15 commitments.

Emory Floyd was briefly USC’s third four-star engagement
Floyd is the Gamecocks’ third-highest-ranked entry of the 15 for the 2022 class behind only quarterback Braden Davis (Middletown, Del.) And offensive tackle Ryan Brubaker (Denver, Pa.). He first joined those two by giving USC a trio of four-star prospects through 247Sports before being replaced by a three-star 48 hours later. Floyd would become one of the fastest on USC roster

Hixon’s commitment gave USC new impetus in team rankings
Hixon, 6-3, 285 pounds, is the sixth-highest ranked rookie for the Gamecocks with a score of 0.8738 in the 247Sports Composite which ranks him 82nd in his position, the 54th best player in Georgia and the 541st at the level. national.
