Pensky Announces Spring 2022 Schedule

KNOXVILLE, TN — Tennessee football head coach Brian Pensky announced the program’s exhibition schedule for the spring semester of 2022. The slate includes five games, including two at Regal Soccer Stadium, road trips to Racing Louisville (NWSL) and Indiana, and one neutral site game against Virginia Tech at ETSU.

Tennessee appears to be building on a historic 2021 campaign in which the team won an SEC Eastern Division Championship, an SEC Tournament Championship and advanced to the Round of 16. of the NCAA. That team went undefeated at Regal Stadium, opening the season with seven straight shutouts for a new single-season shutout record of 633:53 en route to a program record of 20-3-0 overall.

UT returns 10 starters from last season and welcomed Shell Layla and Macaira Midgleytwo members of UT’s No. 6-ranked recruiting class of 2022, on campus as mid-year enrollees.

Admission to all spring games at Regal Soccer Stadium will be free. Restrooms will be open at the facility, but entrants should be advised that concessions will not be available during these off-season contests.
