CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women’s football team signed Caroline Duncan to the 2022 squad on Wednesday.
“We are very excited to add Caroline to our squad. Not only is she a very talented player, but she is an exceptional person. We are confident that she will fit in perfectly with our squad and will have impact on and off the pitch. “says head coach Lauren Sinacola.
Duncan will join the Beavers as a graduate student in nutrition after graduating from the University of Memphis, where she played as a defenseman for her undergraduate experience.
While with the Tigers, Duncan started 42 of 57 games played, totaling 3,935 field minutes. The Memphis, Tennessee native helped the Tigers win two AAC titles (2018, 2021), as well as their fourth consecutive appearance at the NCAA tournament. She won the AAC 2021 Tournament All-Star honors for her performance this fall.
Duncan has scored two career goals, including the game winner against Louisiana on September 9, 2018 in his debut season. She has two assists this season and has six points in her career. Academically, Duncan has excelled in the classroom, assembling three AAC All-Academic teams and making four appearances on the Academic Honor Roll and Dean’s List.
“I chose the state of Oregon because I wanted to pursue my Masters in Nutrition and OSU has an exceptional research program,” Duncan said. “I have heard good things about the OSU soccer program and am very happy to start my journey there.”
