A Lawrenceburg high school student and football player has died after a battle with cancer, the school district confirmed on Saturday. The school district said Brady Gabbard died following a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. Superintendent Karl Galey said Brady would have entered grade 10. The school counselors will be at the reception of the school from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday for anyone in need of support. A GoFundMe page shared by the school said he was 14. Brady was rushed to hospital last month after suffering from stomach pain and weight loss. It was then that he was diagnosed. The school district hosted a memorial and prayer service for Brady. It will take place on Tuesday July 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the multipurpose field. Advisors will be on site to provide support.
