To provide Indonesian children and adolescents with an incredible opportunity and experience with one of the most recognized football clubs in the world, Manchester City Football Club (MCFC) and British School Jakarta (BSJ) have agreed to collaborate on the Manchester City’s first football school opens in the country.
On June 30, 2021, MCFC and BSJ launched Manchester City Football School, the first of its kind in Indonesia. The official opening of the football school for YSB students is scheduled for September 2021, with programs to be extended to the wider community in 2022.
Manchester City School of Football will provide authentic and creative football training programs to students, using Manchester City’s training philosophy and methodology, BSJ said in a statement.
Based at BSJ in South Tangerang, Banten, in the southwest suburb of Jakarta, the Football School includes a Manchester City coaching team who will use BSJ’s first-class facilities including natural pitches and 4G, indoor alternatives. and packaging facilities.
Jorgina Busquets, Managing Director of Football Education & Recreation at City Football Group in London, UK, said: âIt is a pleasure to open our first Manchester City Football School in Indonesia with the British School Jakarta. BSJ stood out from the start because of its relentless pursuit of quality and its drive to provide the best comprehensive education to its students.

BSJ director David Butcher has expressed his enthusiasm for the new collaboration with Manchester City.

An English Premier League football club, Manchester City FC has a long history of standing out on the European football scene and is popular among international football enthusiasts, with many dedicated fans in Indonesia.
Originally founded in 1880 as St Mark’s West Gorton, the club officially changed its name to Manchester City FC in 1894 and has since won the European Cup Winners’ Cup and seven League titles, including five League titles. Man City Playbook
BSJ offers the best education with a strong international perspective to children aged 3-18. Founded primarily to teach UK and Commonwealth nationals, it today serves a diverse community of around 1,200 students with an academic program focused on research and knowledge.
The BSJ Primary Curriculum offers the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and elements of the English National Curriculum (ENC), with students progressing to IB MYP, I / GCSE and IB DP or IB CP.
