Auburn has two players in PFF’s 50 best college football players list


Auburn Tank Bigsby running back and cornerback Roger McCreary have been named one of the PFF’s 50 best college football players to date.

Auburn’s star running back came in at number 17 on the list. Bigsby stormed the SEC last year despite the Tigers struggling on the offensive line. Bigsby was injured in the game against Tennessee.

PFF scans claimed Bigsby was the fifth most valuable freshman who wasn’t a quarterback in 2020. They also had this to say about running back Auburn.

“The 2020 four-star rookie who placed 40th nationally, according to 247Sports, was easily among the most elusive running backs in college football last year. His solid contact balance was fully visible as he came off with the fifth-largest tackle per attempt (0.34) in the FBS.

McCreary is ranked 49th among college football players according to the PFF. Auburn fans watched the talented cornerback take on the wide receivers with finesse and aggression in 2020.

Auburn has one of the deepest defensive back rooms in college football and McCreary is leading the way for unity.

PFF praised McCreary.

“He’s fast, smooth, has good feet and is versatile. This Auburn high school is among the most talented in the country with McCreary in the lead, and he’s more than capable of producing at an elite level in 2021 after placing 21st among the Power 5 corners for coverage in 2019. and 15th in 2020. “
